About Us: Patrick Schlund

Patrik Schlund is a software engineer who has made significant contributions and motivations in the field in software technology. He was born in Sweden, where he grew up with 3 other sisters. His goals and determination to make a difference in his life opened doors to pursue a career that was in its infancy stage in the 80s. In the final course of his studies, he completed his thesis in Bangkok, Thailand and ultimately earned a masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering in Sweden.

In the early 90s, he helped run one of the first outsource software development shops in the Philippines. His adventurous character and his love of nature gave a sense of balance in the early years of his career. He is also well-traveled and enjoy visiting interesting places while discovering different cultures and experiencing exotic cuisines. Some of his works and style are reflections of his passion for design and architecture which he enjoys cultivating on the side. He likes outdoor activities and his favorite sport is windsurfing. Patrik is married and has 2 children.

He moved to Dallas, TX in 1996 to write a software for the emerging derivate trading markets. Over the past decade he has worked with trading systems and back office systems for a Fortune 50 bank and hedge funds. His exposure to various areas of interests in his profession has offered him tremendous knowledge and awareness, which are valuable in his approach and application to diverse challenges in his career.
