Steve Pfiffner
Born in Oakland, California on February 2nd, 1965 to Robert Harry Pfiffner and Elaine Asako Watanabe, I spent my first 2 years of life on the sunny beaches of California. Upon my father accepting a job at Boeing in Seattle, Washington, we moved to the Emerald City where I spent the next 30 years of my life developing webbed feet and wearing umbrellas before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1997. It wasn’t all that bad… It gave me plenty of time to decide for myself whether I preferred the wet, cloudy/overcast climate or the warm, sunny dry climate…. I prefer the latter…

I was raised playing sports; baseball and soccer. I have always had a keen interest in the martial/mixed martial arts as it is a reflection of my Asian descent and the fact that I am a dude... Beginning in my freshman year of high school, I became a “runner” on the cross-country team, and became the first freshman in 20 years to make the varsity team. I continued to be an active runner for the next 20 years. Through my years of running I completed 4 marathons, 2 under 3 hours…my slowest was 3 hours, 12 minutes. The last Marathon I ran was the Austin Marathon in 2001; 3 hours, 7 minutes (average of 7 minutes and 8 seconds per mile).

I have been in sales since 1988 and have been on the business development side of the technology industry since coming to Dallas in 1997. I have represented brand name technologies, such as, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems Java, Unix, Linux, Oracle, Cisco, etc. In all my years in sales, I’ve come to realize that as long as you take care of the people, the rest will take care of itself.
