Caleb Jenkins is the proud father of four amazing children who are all way smarter than he ever was. He also has no idea why his amazing wife agreed to marry him 9 years ago, but he’s been completely blessed ever since. A true kid at heart, you’ll often find Caleb up late, drinking a blue Monster, working on some code or trying to perfect another illusion... beware of stray humor that can sneak up on you. Caleb started his career as a designer with a degree in Multi Media making interactive children’s games with Macromedia Director. In a freak cosmic accident, Caleb went from designer to developer, which eventually led to working for Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist.
“As a developer evangelist I covered 4 US states, helping some of the largest companies in the region adopt Microsoft .NET best practices and technologies.” While at Microsoft, Caleb also worked with the broad developer and design communities, working with over 33 developer user groups, book authors, technology and design leaders and influencers and became a sought after presenter, often speaking at various CodeCamps, User Groups, Technology Summits, Partner Events and Product Launches to audiences ranging from several thousand to several few. In 2007, after leaving Microsoft to join Improving Enterprises (and to travel less), Caleb launched Community Results, Inc a non-profit corporation to help educate, motivate and empower healthy technology communities and to work with inter-community events like CodeCamp, BarCamps and DevCons. Caleb is also host and producer of CommunityCast.tv – and Internet video cast that highlights presenters, organizers and attendees of events. “I’m passionate about building community, because I’m passionate about building people, and helping them succeed. Having a strong and healthy community, creates an environment that enables people to succeed” Caleb brings over 14 years of consulting, development, training and mentoring experience with top fortune 100 companies to every engagement.
